{Butterflies are Blooming}

Here are some photos from my trip to the Fredrick Meijer Gardens. It's absolutely
beautiful there and I'm so thankful that I live just a few miles away! I'm  going to try
to sneak back one more time before the butterflies are gone at the end of April.

A flowering cactus in the "Arid Garden."

These are called fringed tulips :: part of their spring showcase :: love them!!

At the butterfly exhibit, they give out passport booklets to help identify the
butterflies you see. From what I can tell, the ones I have here are
all Longwinged Postmen with different patterns and they all originate
from Central & South America.

Love this set... and he's off!

Three butterflies in one frame! I got pretty lucky!
(although there are a ton of butterflies there anyway :)

:: feeding on some nectar ::

... now just a few more beautiful flowers...

Have a blessed week!

Christy,
Your photos are so beautiful. I went there with the girls, but seeing the images through your lens is almost better. I'm coveting your camera. I remember getting my Rebel and how you were so into it, and look at you now...
Oh, by the way, you don't honestly think you need an invitation to come see the chicks (and my ducklings) do you? You are a part of our family and as such are welcome always. We'll even through a steak on for Chris.
